The record of how Australian institutions perform in public.
Public Layer publishes it, and fixes the ones that ask.
Public Layer is a research practice. We look at associations, peak bodies and charities the way an outsider meets them: a prospective member deciding whether to join, a partner weighing an approach, a journalist looking for a position and a contact, an AI assistant answering a question on the organisation's behalf. What we observe is recorded against a stated method, every finding carries its evidence, and anything we publish about an organisation comes with a standing invitation to correct it.

State of the ACT Institutional Front Door
